PASCO, WASH. - A carjacking in Pasco leads to a high-speed chase through the city today.
It all started when a Pasco resident was knocked to the ground and punched by twenty-five- year-old Jeremy Jullett, who snuck up behind the victim before stealing his car.
That's when the high speed chase began.
Police quickly caught up with Jullett after the chase ended at a dead end on 44th and Levingston Road, around 7:00 a.m.
Pasco Police say this is an unusual carjacking.
"It's a rare occasion when cars are physically taken from a person," said Captain J.D. Raymond with the Pasco Police Department.
Police say they're glad someone brazen enough to physically hurt someone before robbing them is off the streets.
Jullett was taken into custody and booked into the Franklin County Jail. He's charged with robbery and theft, and other charges may follow. Police say alcohol may have been involved.
The victim was not seriously hurt after being physically assaulted.
