With weather warming up considerably, there has been concern that ice along the Yakima River's banks would melt and pose a potential flood danger...
The Yakima County Office of Emergency Management says, right now, there's no risk of the river flooding.
Last Thursday we first brought you the story about the dangers of ice building up on the Yakima River... But today the river was free of ice, and the water is still flowing considerably below the flooding stage.
Currently the Yakima River is flowing at an average of four feet -- flood stage is at ten feet.
The river is expected to continue to flow easily, and it's actually predicted to decrease in height over the rest of the month.
