YAKIMA, Wash. - One of the producers of "An Inconvenient Truth" expressed frustration over the decision to put off showing the documentary at Eisenhower High School.
Laurie David says the movie is based on scientific fact, and any arguments against it are likely to be politically motivated.
She says, "That this is now the second school to say that students can't see this movie is just totally outrageous...I don't know what's going on in Washington, but there's something screwy there...It's the most important hour and 15 minutes anyone could ever spend, truly. The inconvenient truth of the film is that once you see it, you will understand the problem and hopefully be moved to action. It's critical that students, who will face the harshest impact of this problem, see the film."
