The foggy weather has been tough for travelers but airport employees have also felt the stress. Employees say they too are much happier when everything is on schedule.
With Thursday's cancellations, employees say many people forgot it was not the airlines fault. They say people need to realize how dangerous it is to try and land a plane in that much fog.
They say they are trying to reschedule flights but it is difficult because many of the later flights are already booked. Unfortunately, they expect the foggy weather to stick around at least until tomorrow morning.
Thursday, as many as 80% of flights out of the Tri-Cities Airportwere canceled.
