YAKIMA, Wash -- A 64 year old Yakima man disappeared Saturday night, and was found using an electronic radio transmitter.

The man, who is afflicted with dementia, wondered away from his home just after 8pm.  He was missing for about three hours and was last in the 1500 block of South Fair Avenue.

Fortunately he's a member of the Project Life Saver Program and was wearing a small transmitter.

Yakima County Search and Rescue and local volunteers were able locate him near the 200 block of East I Street.  

Project Life Saver is a program that helps locate individuals afflicted with dementia, Alzheimer's or Autism who may wonder away from supervision.
