KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police pulled a man over because he did not have his headlights on and arrested him for driving with a suspended license.
While he was in jail police discovered that he might be the suspect in other crimes committed earlier Saturday night. Police made the connection after they saw the suspect on surveillance tape.
Police said Saturday night he allegedly stole a Honda from a Kennewick car dealership then tried to break into the Jiffy Car Wash on Kennewick Avenue.
After his failed attempted burglary police pulled him over just blocks away from the scene. They arrested him for driving with a suspended license.
Kennewick Sergeant Brian Swartswalter said, "He's suffering the consequences of his actions now sitting the Benton County Jail."
In addition to the car wash attempted break-in police also think he might be responsible for other attempted burglaries at nearby businesses.
