Stolen Property Ring
WEST RICHLAND, Wash. - Four people were arrested because of their alleged involvement in a stolen property ring.
West Richland Police said more arrests are expected.
Police said they allegedly various items including televisions, stereos, and tools from a home on Grosscup Boulevard. Police said the suspects were operating out of a West Richland home which is right up the street from the victim's house.
The suspects live throughout the Tri-Cities and detectives said their scam stretched all the way to Columbia County where a trailer was reported stolen.
Police found a lot of the stolen property in storage units in Pasco.
Authorities said there is still a large amount of property that is unaccounted for. West Richland Police Chief Layne Erdman said, "We don't know if it's their property or related to other crimes, with this type of history it could come from anywhere."
One neighbor, who did not want to be identified said, "There have been a lot of people coming and going and they had people coming and going all night long. We kind of thought something was going on but we thought it was drugs."
Erdman said, "Very seldom do we see a property ring that doesn't have some association with drug involvement."
Police said they sold the stolen property on Ebay and took it to pawn shops.
Police said more people would be arrested, "every time we contact people the ring gets a little bit bigger."
