KENNEWICK, Wash. - If you have ever called 911 about a drunk driver you are part of a growing trend.
Both police from the Tri-Cities and around the nation said more and more citizens are reporting drunk drivers.
Kennewick police said they receive calls from citizens daily and want them to help keep drunk drivers off the road.
Kennewick Sergeant Scott Child said, "It's a big concern for public safety and we do encourage someone who see an erratically driven vehicle to give us a call."
Last week a citizen helped police when they reported a suspected drunk driver. The citizen told police the driver hit another car and appeared to be under the influence.
Police said it happens all too often.
