YAKIMA, Wa - Washington State is scoring high marks on advanced placement tests.
More than 14% of all high school students in the state earned a scored of three or better on an AP test. That's a 6.5% increase from 2000. The six year gain now puts Washington among the top four states in the nation.
AP research shows high school students who earn a three or better are more likely to do better in -- and graduate from -- college.
Three is the minimum score to receive college credit.
