Fallen Soldiers Family Speaks Out

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The family of a fallen soldier spoke out about the loss of 21-year old Army Sergeant Ross Clevenger.

He was killed last week by a roadside bomb in Iraq.

Most of his family lives in Idaho, but his father lives in Finley.  Ross attended Horse Heaven Hills Middle School when he lived with his father in the Tri-Cities for a few years.

His family said he loved the outdoors and they are absolutely devastated by the news of his death.

Brother-in-Law Trent Rea said, "This bombshell comes and up and blows up right here in our family.  They get up and go to work, but it's a different kind.  It's dangerous."

Family members said Ross had many friends in the Army and said he even set up a small coffee shop in his room while staying in Iraq.

He loved to snowboard and hike.

His funeral is scheduled for later this week.
