Operation DVD: Success in Tri-Cities

RICHLAND, Wash. -- One Tri-Cities veterans group is asking for your help in supporting our troops and the group is already having great success.

AmVets Post 397 in the Tri-Cities is the leader in a program called Operation DVD. Operation DVD puts boxes here at KNDU studios, at local libraries, and at fire stations across the Tri-Cities.

People but DVDs in the boxes and they are sent to troops overseas. Post 397 has already sent over 2,400 DVDs to troops and continues to have a stockpile ready to go.

Post 397's Larry Olsen appreciates all the support. He says,"We have a lot of people here in the Tri-Cities that are for the veterans and are willing to do whatever they can to assist them."

If you want to help, you can donate a DVD or send a check to Post 397 for the DVD's postage cost. The address is: PO Box 1840 Richland, WA 99352.  Sending a box of 35 DVDs costs $5. On the check, put Operation DVD Postage in the "for" column. If you would like an Operation DVD box, call Larry Olsen at 943-9499.
