KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The lights went out on parts of Kennewick tonight. At about 7:30, power went out between Morain and Neel streets.
Kennewick Police directed traffic at intersections without power. Benton PUD officials say about 200 people lost their power for about an hour and a half. WinCo foods had to close and cover their food after not having power for an hour.
Benton PUD says the outage was caused by an equipment failure at a substation near Clearwater.
