SUNNYSIDE, Wash -- Sunndyside building inspectors have told Tae Kwon Do United to make repairs to its building or close.
Ray Ramirez, the owner of the after school Tae Kwon Do studio says his building needs about $60,000 worth of repairs to its wiring, roof and foundation -- far more money that he has.
He has been teaching martial arts in the building -- an old horse stable -- for twenty years. He says many of his students come from broken homes, and this is the only thing keeping them from joining gangs.
He is hoping to raise the money but isn't sure he can.
