KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Benton-Franklin Boys and Girls Club used a pair of lime green heels and a dress to raise money. Club President Greg Faulk donned the dress today to make good on a promise.
It all happened at the intersection of Columbia Center Boulevard and Canal Drive. Faulk promised his staff that if they could raise $10,000 dollars, he would wear the dress.
They raised $10,008. He said, "I think the staff had a lot of fun making the signs. I think they had a lot of fun picking out the outfit, so I think they had a lot of fun with that."
Many drivers got a good laugh at the sight of Faulk in the green dress and heels. The staff donations are part of the club's annual campaign for kids. The Benton-Franklin Club's goal is to raise $192,000 dollars this year.
