Pfister Memorial Planned for Sunday

PASCO, Wash.- More than 1,500 people are expected at a local memorial for fallen Marine Sergeant Travis Pfister Sunday.

The 1997 Hanford High Grad was killed last month in Iraq.

Hundreds of friends and fellow Marines are expected in town to honor Pfister.

His wife says the outpouring of support has been more than they ever expected.

"You know people die on the streets everyday, car accidents, everything else, and, Travis, he worked hard, he played hard, he loved hard, and he wouldn't have wanted to go out any other way than a hero," said SSgt. Jessica Pfister, his wife and a fellow Marine.

The service is Sunday afternoon at 1:00 at the TRAC in Pasco.

The family's set up a memorial fund.

The Sergeant's wife is also setting up a fallen soldier's fund.
