RICHLAND, Wash. -- Point Man Ministries helps soldiers and their families learn to deal with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Point Man members say that the disorder is a normal reaction to an abnormal situation. They say that PTSD is a silent killer, causing anger and suicide years after a soldier returns. Most of all, Point Man members say families should have empathy for returning soldiers.
Tomorrow, Point Man Ministries is holding a seminar called "Hearts on the Homefront" at the Central Church in Richland. The event begins at 1:00PM and is designed to help families and friends of returning soldiers deal with PTSD.
