State Police & Sheriff Offices Announce Stranger Rape DNA Project

OLYMPIA, Wash.- A federally funded new program will help law enforcement catch rapists faster. It's called the Stranger Rape DNA Project.

The statewide program will target the estimated 200 stranger rapes that happen every year. Officials will get a rape kit flown to a lab in Dallas, Texas, with guaranteed results within thirty days.
