PROSSER, Wash. -- A new business opens in Prosser and economic leaders say this is a true family success story.
Today, the Denchel family cut the ribbon on Desert Valley Power Sports, where you can find everything from motorcycles to personal water-craft. Dan Denchel grew up in Prosser and he now returns to the city in hopes of starting a successful business.
Prosser economic leaders hope the Denchel family encourages other businesses to come to the city. Deb Heintz of the Prosser Economic Development Association says that currently, Desert Valley Power Sports employs eleven people but that should increase as time goes on.
Heintz says the business will also help Prosser by providing needed tax-money to the city. Most of all though, she hopes the company provides a jumping off point for more businesses to come to Prosser.
