Fred Meyer Purse Snatching Update

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Police say thanks to a local citizen after the person led them to find two suspected purse snatchers.

Kennewick Police say an elderly woman was standing in the Kennewick Fred Meyer parking lot yesterday, when someone grabbed her purse and took off.

Fortunately, someone passing by, saw it all happen. She gave police a good description of the suspects, their vehicle, and their license plate number.

Kennewick Police's Chris Littrell say, "That really was the key for us, without that license plate description, we really couldn't have done our job."

With the tip, police arrested two suspects and later found the purse in a dumpster. Police say they're still looking for $400, which the suspects haven't admitted to taking.
