BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - According to a Benton Franklin County Anti Tobacco group it is getting tougher for minors to buy cigarettes in the Tri-Cities.
Benton County scored a 97 percent in a recent tobacco compliance test.
Minors went undercover at local convenience stores to try to buy tobacco without identification.
The group said that out of the 32 stores tested only one store failed to ask for identification.
Storeowners will face fines if they are caught failing to ask for identification.
