YAKIMA, Wash - The "Help is Here Bus" tour stopped on East Nob Hill Boulevard Thursday afternoon. Here, low income patients or people without insurance were able to visit with health care professionals. The mission of the bus tour is to provide programs where people can buy prescription drugs who have a low income or no insurance. The tour heads all around the nation and this week has made stops in several Washington cities.
Once inside the bus, patients are able to sign on to the organizations website and see if they qualify for a perscription medicine program.
This is the first trip back to Yakima for the bus since april of 2005 and saw over a dozen people check out the bus in the first hour...
If you missed the bus today you can log on to their website at www.pparx.org for help with prescription programs.
