KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A study by the Washington Health Department found that too many Washington teens are using drugs and alcohol.

Thousands of Washington public school students in grades 6, 8, 10, and 12 were surveyed. The study found that one in four 10th graders reported being drunk in the past 30 days. And one in every 10 high school students reported using prescription pain- killers in the past month to get high.
