KENNEWICK, Wash - Carey Price stopped 32 of 33 shots, including a penalty shot in the third period and three huge saves in the last minute of the game, to lead the Tri-City Americans to a 2-1 victory over Seattle to tie their first-round WHL playoffs series at one game apiece. Taylor Procyshen and Aaron Boogaard scored second-period goals for the Americans. Radek Meidl gave the Thunderbirds a 1-0 lead in the first period, but Seattle was unable to get anything else past Price, including David Richard, who had a penalty shot at 10:25. Derek Yeomans finished with 28 saves for Seattle. The best-of-7 series shifts to KeyArena in Seattle for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:05 pm.
