Walla Walla Children Still Missing, No New Leads
WALLA WALLA, Wash.- The search continues for two missing Walla Walla children, and now police are saying the young girl doesn't have the medication she needs.
The police department's hope is that the group will be forced to stop somewhere to get medication and that when they do, someone will notice and call 911, but because of John Bauger's mental state, they fear he may not make that stop.
The children's family gathered Tuesday in Walla Walla, pleading that John bring the kids back.
Police are still searching for clues that might lead them to Lars and Remi Baugher.
Their father's van was found Monday morning in Stevens County, but an overnight search of the area turned up nothing, leaving the search at square one.
Now, police fear that the danger the kids are in is growing.
The family says Remi is without her medication for an acid reflux condition, and police fear her father may not get the help she needs.
There's no sign they've sought help, or even where they may have gone.
Until then, they'll continue pleading for a safe return.
The FBI has put out a warrant for Baugher that'll allow authorities to expand the search nationwide if they want to, but right now their biggest hope is that the group will be forced to get help and turn up somewhere.
