Sun Kings Repeat as CBA Champions

YAKIMA, Wash. - The Yakama Sun Kings are CBA Champions. They won their second straight title Friday night, beating Albany 120-92 and completing a three-game sweep of the Patroons. The game was over by halftime, when the Sun Kings led 69-41.

Ralphie Holmes, who quit the team, only to return mid-season, was estatic. "This is what I came back for--to taste this. I'm so happy to be able to show my talents. I'll always have a home in Yakima!"

Holmes led the Sun Kings with 27 points on 11-15 shooting. Earlier in the day, Galen Young was named league MVP, and Paul Woolpert ws named Coach of the Year. 

"We're the first team in 20 years to win back-to-back," said Woolpert. "It's an honor to be a part of these guys."
