KENNEWICK, Wash. -- One Kennewick woman says she was a victim of identity theft and she went all the way to Tacoma to try and find the suspect.
Jackie Hill believes a man, who was caught on surveillance tape, somehow got a hold of her debit card number and started using her information to make purchases at stores like Platnum Ware in Tacoma. He even had a $200 Safeway bill. She says in total she lost $600.
Hall says all the purchases on her card were from places in Tacoma. She has filed a report with the Tacoma Police and that they are currently working on the case. She encourages people to check their bank statement every day because she says the day you miss could be the day somebody takes your identity.
