SEATTLE, Wash. - Two people are dead in a murder-suicide shooting at the University of Washington.
A man who had been harassing an ex-girlfriend went to her office in the architecture building and shot her to death and then shot himself.
Police had responded to a report of shots fired after 9:00am Monday morning and found the two bodies and a handgun. The fire department confirmed the two were dead at the scene.
Campus Assistant, Police Chief Ray Wittmier says the woman had a restraining order against the man.
A colleague who also works in the Center for Real Estate Research at Gould Hall, Lance Nquyen, also said that she changed her phone number and even sent the man's photo to co-workers to warn them.
The architecture building is said to be reopened Tuesday for classes.
