Cattle may graze on protected land

KITTITAS, Wash -- The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife may allow cattle to graze on protected land.

The Whiskey Dick Wild Life area sits just outside Ellensburg and is home to rare plants and wildlife. The proposed plan would provide space for cattle to craze. Environmental groups oppose the plan. They say this is nothing but a give away to ranchers and will destroy the eco-system.
