Crews Work to Clean Up Derailed Train

Yakima, WA - Four Burlington Northern train cars derailed Sunday on Washington Avenue between First Street and Longfibre Road.  They crashed into a warehouse causing damage to one wall and an air compressor.  The cars were first discovered when a passer by noticed them off the rail around four o'clock Sunday afternoon.  Right now it appears the cars were not being operated by anybody...they just took of and started rolling on their own.  All four cars were carrying butane gas.  Yakima Fire has inspected them, they say everything is safe and there are no gas leaks.  Crews are going to be cleaning up this accident all day.  Their main goals is to fill in a large hole caused by the they can get the train back on the tracks and pull the cars away safely.
