Huskies basketball coach Lorenzo Romar took the time to to come to Yakima and speak at the annual fund-raiser, which was held at the Yakima Convention Center Tuesday. Romar spoke on a variety of topics and mingled with fans, also signed some autographs.
Romar said hasn't ruled out freshman Spencer Hawes returning to school by the June 18 deadline to withdrwaw. Last week, Hawed said he'd turn pro, but hasn't yet hired an agent. He hopes to fare well in pre-draft evaluation camps the next two months.
"He's a skilled 7 footer," said Romar. "He'll have every opportunity to be a lottery pick. It's up to him to decide if he wants to saty in the draft at that point. Each situation is different. Spencer will do what's best for him and his situation."
