Hayden Home Presented in Pasco
PASCO, Wash. -- A Pasco family recieved the keys to their new house on Wednesday. They also had a chance to express their gratitude and appreciation for the people who gave them the home.
Mirta and Alberto Macias got to see their new house today, amidst both tears and smiles. Their eldest son, 15-year-old Jesse, said his parents had many feelings. He says they were, "happy, excited, and at the same time shocked at the amount of people here."
The Hayden Homes Giving Fund, a non-profit group, provided the money for the house. The Macias family will have to buy the home back, but doesn't have to make a down payment, doesn't have to pass a credit check, and doesn't pay any interest.
Hayden Homes CEO Hayden Watson said, "This is exactly what we wanted to do, provide a house for people that wouldn't normally have been able to afford it."
After the dedication of the house, the Macias family and most of the other people responsible for building the house got a chance to sit down, eat, a and enjoy their accomplishments. They say there are many things for them to be thankful for.
Jesse Macias says, "We got our freedom, we don't have to worry about our neighbors downstairs or upstairs, since it's our house, we can do whatever we want.
