Yakima, WASH - The left humorous bone of a 16,000 year old Wenus Mammoth was on display at YVCC Wednesday night. The bone was discovered by a construction crew building a road in the Wenus Creek Valley, near Selah.
Central Washington University anthropology professor, Patrick Lubinski then formed a group of students along with other professors to dig for more bones in the area. Lubinski visted the YVCC campus to discuss what else they have found in the area and how the people of Yakima can be in on it. Public tours will be held this summer from July 9th to August 10th, where anyone can see the digs for themselves.
