Richland -- Thousands of people from around the Northwest are expected at the marina at Columbia Point this weekend. Most of them will not be on the water, but more than a few will likely be dreaming of it.
The Mid-Columbia Boat and R.V. Show runs from 2 p.m. Thursday through 5 p.m. Sunday at Columbia Point Park. Acres of land at the point are jammed with boats that organizers say will satisfy fishing buffs, skiiers, or those who simply like to cruise.
Several watercraft will be on the water and available for demo rides. There is also a twenty-five foot pontoon boat on display that representatives say can hit speeds of 65 miles an hour on the water.
If that's a little fast for you, and you'd rather stay on dry land, there are dozens of R.V.'s at the show. It is located at Columbia Point Park next to Anthony's restaurant. The show ends on the April 15.
