MCNARY DAM, Ore. -- A distriss call sent resue workers from Washington and Oregon to McNary dam at one this afternoon.
Benton County Sherriff's Depities say the Coast Guard recieved the call from a man, who claimed that he and two passengers were on a boat that was sinking.
Rescue workers searched the coast from Richland to Boardman but found nothing. A MedStar helicopter even joined the search but not even debris was found.
Finally officials had to call off the search. Deputies say that despite the fact that they have found no evidence, today's events provided good practice in search and rescue.
Right now, they have stopped their search, but will start again if there's any new evidence.
