NBC News Receives Package Sent from VA Shooter

AP - NBC News has turned over to officials what they say may be key evidence in the shooting massacre at Virginia Tech.

Earlier today, NBC Headquarters in New York received what is said to be a "disturbing" and "rambling" account of his grievances to NBC.

Officials say the package was mailed between the time of the first and second shootings. 

Steve Flaherty, Superintendent of the Virginia State Police, explained, "Earlier today, NBC news in New York received correspondence that we believe to have been from Cho Seung-Hui, the gunman who's responsible for the fatal shootings in Norris Hall. The correspondence included multiple photographs, video and writings. Upon receipt of this correspondence, NBC News immediately notified authorities."

And also added, "This may be a very new critical component of this investigation. We're in the process right now of attempting to analyze and evaluate it's worth." 

NBC News officials immediately turned the package from Cho Seung-Hui and are cooperating fully with those authorities.
