RICHLAND, Wash. -- New Richland MedStar base leader Carolyn Prouty says MedStar's emergency air services saved her two child's lives.
And now she's glad to give back by working with MedStar. During our interview Thursday, Prouty and her crew got a call and had to immediately fly out to an emergency in Walla Walla. Prouty says that her experience as recipient of MedStar's service helps her work with people in traumatic situations.
She says, "I think it gives you perspective. You can kind of put yourselves in a parent's shoes, in a family member's shoes. It gives them that added sense of security at that time."
Prouty says she is proud to lead a Medstar Crew that is so dedicated to providing quality medical service in any situation. She hopes that her local perspective as a Richland resident helps her provide better service at the Tri-Cities base.
