Vigil Held in Sunnyside to Remember Those Lost in Violent Crimes
Sunnyside, WASH - Remembering those lost in homicide was what brought dozens to Cenntenial Square in Sunnyside Wednesday night. It is all apart of National Crime Victims week, where vigils are held around the country to remember friends and family members lost in violent crimes and to raise awareness for prevention.
Pictures and memories were on display in Sunnyside to remember the ones who had their lives taken by homicide. Speeches were also given by family members about loved ones lost and how much it can change lives. A moment of silence for Virginia Tech started off the event, it ended with a candlelight vigil.
