Kayleigh Perkins moves up a class; she'll be co-driver of Unlimited Light UL-72 Miss Boat Electric
Kylie raced the pink boat in 2006's Lighter than LIGHTS
It's a storied boat in unlimited light circles, the UL-72 Miss Boat Electric has a healthy history of winning and now it has two drivers for the 2007 season.
Patrick Haworth of Valleyfield, Quebec will drive the boat in his hometown of Valleyfield when the Lights race there in July. He's won there before in 2003. He also posted a win in the unlimited class in the Tri-Cities in 2002. He's listed as the primary driver and will race at other tour stops, which have yet to be detemined.
But someone else will be getting seat-time and that someone else if Kayleigh Perkins. Kayleigh has been driving in the Lighter than Lights series and will be the first woman to race Unlimited Lights since 2004 when driver Tracy Morgan ran one race, also in Valleyfield.
Kayleigh is from Kent, WA where she posted a couple of wins. She's remembered by many was the high school student who skipped her senior prom to race.
