RICHLAND, Wa.,--At Bookwalters Winery in Richland, wine drinkers from all over the Tri-Cities and beyond came to cleanse their pallets.
Wine tasting events like this give the public a chance to taste everything from Chardonnay to Riesling. One wine enthusiast i spoke with grew up near Napa Valley in California. He felt that this weekend allowed him to see what everyone has been talking about.
"I think now is a good time for us to come out here and be part of the growth of these new young wineries," said chris geyer.
Other wineries we spoke with such as Barnard Griffin and Terra Blanca say that tasting events are generating quite a buzz with tourists.
Keith Pilgrim has been a winemaker for 14 years at Terra Blanca. He says that washington wine delivers quality and a unique experience.
With the amount of wineries in the Tri-Cities, pilgrim added that most people, whether their connoisseurs or amatuers, will find a good wine to enjoy.
