Immigration March expected to tie up traffic in Yakima

Yakima, WA -  An immigration march organized by the Yakima Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is expected to tie up traffic in downtown Yakima Tuesday afternoon. 

The march starts at 4pm at Miller Park, North 2nd Street and East E Street in Yakima, and go through downtown Yakima until 6:30pm.

Event organizers are expecting up to 3000 participants. The march will begin at the south end of Miller Park.


South on N. 2nd Street to E. Yakima Avenue east on E. Yakima Avenue to S. 3rd Street south on S. 3rd Street to E. Chestnut Street east on E. Chestnut Street to S. 6th Street south on S. 6th street to E. Spruce Street west on E. Spruce Street to S. 1st Street north on S. 1st street to east E Street east on East E street returning to the park.

Participants arriving by motor vehicle are encouraged to legally park away from immediate park area to allow for pedestrian traffic to exit from the event.

Parking on private property should only be done with the property owner's permission.

Road closures will occur during the event and commuting motorists are advised to use alternative routes .

Delays should be expected.
