ELLENSBURG, Wash -- Central Washington University Police are trying to figure out who emailed a bomb threat to the school early Sunday morning.
After searching the student union building and examining the email, they concluded it was a hoax.
As a precaution they also brought in a bomb squad from the Seattle Police Department to search the union.
While they were searching, they did not close the building or let students know of the threat. Some students say they wish they had been alerted.
"Its a little disconcerting," said freshman Kris Wilhelny. "Especially after there were so many emails sent out to students about how the school would let us know about these thing. And I didn't receive anything what so ever."
A University official said all emergency policies were followed, and that they do not notify students of hoaxes.
Still, they said they're constantly reviewing safety policies, and will look to see if anything can be improved.
