Yakima Law Enforcement to Receive Technology Upgrade
Yakima, WASH - National award winning computer software is heading towards Yakima counties way. It is known as "Possible Criminal History and Case and Criminal History. Once the county has the program in two months, they will be able to get background information and put together cases quickly by only using one source. When a search is done now by county attorneys, prosecuters and deputies, multiple sources need to be looked at.
County officials say this program is the foundation for future technology. As soon as this fall, law enforcement will be saving time by issuing citations and submitting traffic accident reports elctronically.
By the end of the year, the new software hopes to be installed to city police departments in the county.
