RICHLAND, Wa.,--Campus officials say the building is at 55% completion. With the numerous teaching and research laboratories, WSU Tri-Cities' is providing its students with a building..designed for success.
The fences are still up and the sight of construction crews are becoming more visible each day. According to Campus Operations Manager, Jerry Massey, this 57,000 square foot facility will allow students to have daily contact with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Researchers
"This is a very good opportunity to team up with PNL, says Massey." Hopefully, we'll have interns working in their labs."
Along with teaching labs, there are three recycling windows near the main entrance. The building will also house state of the art research facilities, which will allow students the chance to create bioproducts and technology that could some day be commercialized.
Officials say the Bioproducts, Sciences, and Engineering Laboratory should be open in time for the Spring semester of 2008.
