PASCO, Wash. - A blessing is given in a ceremony of the newly renovated garden at Lourdes Medical Center today.
What was just a grassy area in front the emergency room last fall is now a place of tranquility for visitors to the Lourdes Medical Center.
The garden is a way of celebrating ninety years of service at the hospital.
It's also being used as a fundraiser. For $90.00 you can purchase Pavers with peoples names engraved on them to be placed in the garden.
"It builds a legacy for the people that utilize Lourdes and the community in which we reside. So it's a way to leave your legacy for your family and your friends, and it's great for Pasco as well," said Connie Gillispie, Chief Development Officer.
Other stones are found throughout the garden. They give tribute to dedicated physicians, friends and benefactors.
One stone has the names of all the sisters who served at the hospital since in 1916.
