KENNEWICK, Wa.,--Police Chiefs from the city of Kennewick and Richland will be playing chefs tomorrow for a great cause.
Kennewick police chief, Ken Hohenberg and Richland chief, Tony Corsi, will be flipping Pancakes. Since 1998, Safe Harbor Crisis Nursery has been caring for thousands of children in the area through community donations. One Safe Harbor official says that If you go tomorrow, make sure you bring an appetite.
"Coming to the breakfast tomorrow, you'll see 'em flipping your pancakes and cooking sausage and bacon, and, and, raising money for the kids in our community," said Sharon Ghiglione.
The flipping begins Saturday, May 12th from 7:00am to 11:00am at Jefferson Park on George Washington Way in Richland. The event is free, however, monetary donations are very appreciated.
Other chefs will include Benton County Sheriff, Larry Taylor, Benton County Commissioner, Leo Bowman and Benton County Prosecutor, Andy Miller. Proceeds will benefit Safe Harbor as well as Kids Haven at Sexual Assault Response Center (SARC).
