WEST RICHLAND, Wash.,--West Richland police say someone tipped them off after noticing an abundance of Marijuana plants at 519 South 40th avenue.
After executing a search warrant, Chief Layne Erdman says police found 42 young and mature Marijuana plants. The plants were apparently being grown in a detached garage near the residence of 54-year-old Lawrence T. Orman.
Irrigation tools and a device to measure pH levels in the soil were also discovered. Orman was arrested and charged with manufacturing Marijuana. Considering what was found, Erdman says Orman was trying to enhance both the efficiency and quality of his product.
According to police, these plants have a street value of $63,000. Orman is currently being held in the Benton County Jail.
