RICHLAND, Wash. - A wanted man that police have been searching for since January has been caught in Richland.
Authorities have been searching for 26-year-old Joshua Scott for the past five months.
He is suspected of being involved in a violent home invasion in Finley that left one man stabbed after he was assaulted and slashed with a broken beer bottle.
Police said Scott is a known gang member and is very dangerous.
Police report that at around 8 o'clock Tuesday morning a witness recognized Scott at the Parks Edge Mini Market located on George Washington Way in Richland.
The witness called police. Scott and two other men were arrested at the Days Inn located right down the street from the mini mart minutes later.
Richland Police said the two other men he was arrested with are also known gang members. They all had warrants out for the arrest.
Police said Scott has a long history of violent crimes.
Authorities said they found a small amount of drugs in the hotel room. Police think they flushed the majority of drugs down the toilet because there were small baggies floating in the toilet water with drug residue in them.
