Yakima, WASH - The search and rescue division of the Yakima County Sheriff's office says the missing plane was last seen on radar near the Chinook Pass area, roughly 40 miles west of Naches.

Washington State Air and Rescue say 53 year-old george trupp was flying the plane and the only one inside.

It was supposed to arrive in Renton from Twin Falls Idaho Tuesday, but it never landed.

Rescue teams say they are doing everything they can right now to get a lead on the planes location.

"We'll continue to put folks in the field where we will try to pick up emergency locator transmitter signals and play off of that," said Wayne Frude, a search and rescue volunteer.

Twenty plus search and rescue volunteers were sent out this morning to look for the plane.

The DOT also has three planes and a helicopter searching.

Officials say they are confident the plane is in Yakima County and will continue to search the area.
