KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Kennewick Police were out teaching parents 25 ways to keep their children safe on Friday. Their special event was at a place that attracts children by the 100s, The Playground of Dreams.
Police were talking about keeping your kids safe at home, on the internet, at school, and when they are out and about in the community.
Along with talking to parents, police were there to fingerprint kids and teach them about staying safe. They said parents should take 25 minutes and talk to their kids about who to call in the case of an emergency or what to do if they are approached by a stranger.
If you stop by the police station, you can pick up a pamphlet that lists 25 things you can do to keep your kids safe.
