Alleged Drunk Driving Causes Crash Near Benton City
BENTON CITY, Wash. -- Benton County Sherriff's Deputies say a man's fingers are missing after they were cut off in a rollover car accident. Deputies say a father and son were drinking and fighting, when the son took off in his car.
He then flipped the car on State Route 225, 6 miles north of Benton City. 24-year-old Chase Hett was travelling northbound, when his car went off the road. He then overcorrected and rolled his Ford Mustang.
Deputies say his fingers were cut off and couldn't be found. Hett was taken to Kadlec Medical Center and his car was towed.
Troopers are citing him for DUI, reckless driving, domestic assault, and hit and run for hitting some bleachers earlier in the night .
